WHY ACCESS HOMEGLIDE IS BEST IN CLASS?
Intuitive Joystick
With a comfortable soft-touch grip, the integrated joystick is user-friendly and requires minimal effort to take you up and down your staircase with ease.
Retractable Seatbelt
A retractable seatbelt keeps you secure while using your HomeGlide stairlift. The integrated sensor ensures the seatbelt is fastened securely before travel, and the stainless steel buckle is designed to be operated with just one hand.
Folding Rail
If you have an obstruction at the foot of the staircase, you can choose to have an automatically powered hinge installed. Once you have used your stairlift, it will return to the top of the stairs, and the lower section of the rail will fold away, leaving the bottom of your staircase clear.
Call Device
Our optional call device ensures you stay connected with friends and family, with up to three different telephone numbers stored and contactable directly from your stairlift.
Powered Swivel Seat
The HomeGlide Extra package automatically upgrades you to the powered swivel seat. The powered swivel feature automatically turns the chair at the top landing as you maintain pressure on the joystick. This enables a safe exit from the chair as the lift automatically rotates towards the staircase landing.
Linked footrest
With the HomeGlide Extra package, your HomeGlide comes with a powered linked footrest. This feature makes it almost effortless when unfolding the chair as the footrest is connected to the seat – eliminating the need to bend down and have any unnecessary strain on your body.
Ergonomic Seat
Designed by ergonomic experts, all HomeGlide models feature an ergonomic moulded seat designed to positively influence your posture while offering maximum comfort during travel. In addition, with the HomeGlide Extra package, you can choose from four different seat heights, providing a more tailored fit, ensuring the most comfortable seating position possible.
Simple Remote
With our patented multi-drive friction technology and in the unlikely event of a motor issue, you have three others to transport you safely to the top or bottom of the stairs. An emergency stop button is also located on the bottom of the chair.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A stairlift is a chair that runs on a track and fits directly to the treads of the stairs, and the stairlift motor pulls the stairlift along the tracks up and down the stairs. The stairlift tracks are fitted to the staircase treads using metal cleats. Depending on the stairlift model you choose, your stairlift will be controlled through a small toggle or joystick control that is positioned on the arm of the stairlift chair. To move the stairlift up or down the stairs you simply move the toggle or joystick.
The cost of a stairlift varies and is based on where it is being installed and whether the staircase is straight or curved. Typically, the cost of a straight stairlift starts at just over $3500.00 however, upgrades and deluxe options such as power swivel, power folding rails and other add-ons can add to the overall total cost.
A curved stairlift with no added options can start at just over $9500.00, and like a straight staircase, there are many different options available with these units that can change the total cost of installation. The best way to get an accurate cost is for one of our experienced stairlift representatives to come to your home and give you a no cost, no obligation quote.

It all depends on the type of medical insurance plan that you have. Some insurance plans do pay for stairlifts. Depending on the configuration of the stairs at your home, and whether they are straight, or curved we will typically have your stairlift installed within a few hours however, if your home has multi-landings, and or multi-level situations, the installation can take up to 5-hours from start to finish.
Upon completion of installing your stairlift, Our expert technicians will make sure that it is fully operational and functional and they will also demonstrate to you how the stairlift works, making sure that you are both knowledgeable and comfortable with operating the stairlift.
Stairlifts contain a set of 2 batteries. Typically, a set of batteries will last between four to six years depending on how much the stairlift is used and how well the unit is maintained as per the manufacturer’s guidelines. The owners-manual that comes with your stairlift explains the best practices for keeping the batteries and unit in top shape. However, if you do need the batteries replaced, We keeps batteries in stock and can changeout your stairlift batteries quickly if they start to not hold a full-charge.
