Description
The Drive Nitro Heavy Duty Rollator, item 10266HD-BK, is the black Nitro HD with a 23 in seat. It is one size.
What does it do, and how is it built?
- The padded seat is 23 in wide and 10 in deep, set 23.5 in (597 mm) from the floor, with a height-adjustable back support.
- The handles adjust from 36 to 41 in (914 to 1041 mm), and the width between them is 23 in (584 mm).
- The rollator folds side to side with one hand, and a red lock under the seat holds it closed.
- A removable zippered bag stays on the frame open or folded and holds up to 11 lb (5 kg).
- The frame weighs 20.5 lb (9.3 kg).
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- It suits someone who needs a heavy-duty frame with a rest seat.
- It is a rollator, not a wheelchair or transport chair; do not move it while someone is seated.
Will it fit?
The seat and handles suit a taller or broader user; check the open width against your doorway.
- Set the handles so your elbows keep a soft bend.
- Check that the 28.25 in (718 mm) open width clears the doors you use.
- The weight capacity is 450 lb (204 kg).
Using it day to day
- Pull both brake levers up, slowly and steadily, to slow down; press both down to park once stopped.
- Sit straight on a level, solid surface with both brakes locked, and do not lean back.
- To fold, lift the seat by its handle and secure the red clasp; to open, release the clasp and press the seat tubes down until they lock.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- Do not move the rollator while someone is seated, and do not use it as a transport chair.
- Do not use the seat on an incline.
- The slow-down brake and the oxygen holder are sold separately.
How does it compare?
- Heavy-duty rollators lists the other high-capacity frames.
- Drive Nitro Sprint is the lighter Nitro with a lower seat.
- Nitro 3-wheel rollator has no seat or back support.
