Description

The Handicare C-625 is a fixed ceiling lift motor for a track system. It raises and lowers a person on a strap and travels along the track; the rated capacity is 625 lb (284 kg). It is not the 450 lb C-450 or the A-Series A-625.

What the motor does

  • Strap travel is up to 96 in (2438 mm), with lift, lower and horizontal movement as separate functions.
  • Manual traverse and power traverse are available; power models can add return-to-charge, and an XY traverse is an option.
  • A digital display shows battery level, lift count and status. The lift is programmable and built in modules for service.
  • The hand control is pneumatic, and the motor has emergency stop, emergency power lowering and manual raising and lowering.

Which code

  • 324201: manual traverse.
  • 324203: manual traverse with load cell and Wi-Fi.
  • 324205: power traverse with return-to-charge.
  • 324207: power traverse with return-to-charge, load cell and Wi-Fi.

Charging and battery

  • The battery is 24 VDC, two 12 VDC 5.0 Ah sealed lead-acid batteries.
  • The charger is a Soneil 2403SRM20. A Soneil 2403SRM30 or Mascot 9940 may be used as an alternate; the A450/A625 charger is not compatible.
  • Charging can be end-point (the lift is moved to a charging point) or constant along the rail. Return-to-charge is for power traverse models.
  • A low battery gives an orange indicator and an audible alarm; the up function is disabled, while down and emergency lowering still work.

Installation and limits

  • The lift is one part of a ceiling system. The track, carry bar and sling are selected and installed separately, and only an authorized Handicare installer should fit the system.
  • The rating on the lift label governs; the lowest-rated part of the installed system sets the limit.
  • The duty cycle is one minute on and nine minutes off. Service life is 22,500 cycles or 10 years, and the strap is replaced every 5,000 cycles or three years.
  • The main unit is rated IP22. The hand control is waterproof, but the lift and charger are not; do not expose them to water.

Warranty and service

Cover is one year from installation or 18 months from manufacture, whichever is shorter. Batteries are outside cover after 90 days (see the Warranty tab). Our service team maintains equipment we sell.

Frequently asked questions

Is the track included with the motor?

No. The motor, track, carry bar, sling, charger and installation are quoted for the site; a measured quote states what is included.

Does the C-625 rotate the person?

No. The lift raises, lowers and travels along the track. Turning is done by the track layout, not by the motor.

What happens in a power failure?

The motor has emergency stop, emergency power lowering and manual raising and lowering. The exact procedure is shown on the installed unit.

How long is the warranty?

One year from installation or 18 months from manufacture, whichever is shorter. Batteries are excluded after 90 days.
