Description
The Pride Essential LC-106 is a medium three-position lift chair for a sitter about 5 ft 4 in to 5 ft 9 in (163 to 175 cm), rated 325 lbs (147 kg).
What does it do and how does it work?
The back and footrest move together, and the powered base lifts you to standing. This is a three-position chaise, not infinite position.
- Easy Touch hand control with a USB port.
- Sinuous spring seat and a fully padded chaise.
- Two 9-volt batteries in the external transformer. They are not included.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits a medium sitter who wants a simple recline and help to stand.
- Choose an infinite position chair if the back and footrest must move independently.
- Choose a chair with a standard footrest extension if your heels hang off the pad. That extension is not standard on the LC-106.
Will it fit?
- Seat 20 in (508 mm) wide and 19 in (483 mm) deep. Seat-to-floor height is 18 in (457 mm).
- Top of the back to the seat is 24.75 in (629 mm). Overall width is 33 in (838 mm). Leave 18 in (457 mm) from the wall.
- The chair weighs 106 lbs (48.1 kg). Pride prints these figures with a tolerance of about 1 in (25 mm).
- Measure the doorway and the room. The free home assessment can take those measurements.
Using it day to day
- Use the hand control to recline and to lift. Store it in a side pocket. The chair has two pockets.
- The power cord is 9 ft (2.7 m). Plug it into a wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
- Install two fresh 9-volt alkaline batteries. Replace them after a power-failure use, or every six months.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- Weight limit 325 lbs (147 kg). Exceeding it voids the warranty.
- Only the intended user should operate the chair. Do not sit or stand on the footrest.
- Fabrics on the Essential sheet are Darby in Java, Midnight and Pewter.
- A cleaning kit and non-skid leg levelers are optional extras.
- Warranty is one-year limited. Model 106 is excluded from the lifetime lift-frame warranty. See the warranty terms.
How does it compare?
- The VivaLift Tranquil 2 is an infinite-position chair in four sizes.
- The Pride Genesis LC-150 is a three-position chair in small and medium.
- The Golden Aurora PL480 is a three-position chair in three sizes.
