Description
The Pride VivaLift Tranquil 2 PLR-935 is an infinite-position lift chair in four sizes: Small, Petite Wide, Medium and Large/Tall, all rated 400 lbs (181.5 kg).
What does it do and how does it work?
The back and footrest move independently, the back reclines to horizontal, and the lift brings you to standing.
- Power headrest, power lumbar and footrest extension are standard.
- Toggle remote with a memory button and a USB port.
- Trendelenburg-like positioning; ask your physician before using it.
- A lithium-ion pack returns the chair to seated during an outage.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits a sitter who wants independent back and leg positions in a size for a shorter, wider, medium or taller person.
- Petite Wide has the widest seat for a shorter person; Large/Tall adds length and height.
- Choose the Radiance if you want heat.
- Choose a 3 position chair if the back and footrest need only move together.
Will it fit?
- Small: 20 in (508 mm) seat, 18.5 in (470 mm) deep, 18 in (457 mm) high, 25 in (635 mm) back, 33.8 in (859 mm) wide, 13 in (330 mm) wall; 5'4" and below.

- Compare the 33.8 to 38 in overall width with your doorway.
Using it day to day
- Save a favourite position to the toggle memory.
- Charge a phone from the USB port.
- Charge the lithium pack before first use; it runs the chair unplugged up to 48 hours.
- Stand only when steady, and do not load the armrests.
- Clean with a Crypton kit or blot mild soap and water; do not soak the fabric.
What happens in a power outage?
The lithium-ion pack returns the chair to seated once and self-charges while the chair is plugged in.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- Weight limit 400 lbs (181.5 kg) ; exceeding it voids the warranty.
- One person at a time; nobody on the lap, arms or footrest.
- Heat and massage are not included.
- Fabrics: the colour picker lists Astro Brown, Astro Grey and Astro Mushroom. Ask us about other fabrics before ordering.
- Warranty: lifetime lift frame and mechanisms; motors, hand control, headrest and lumbar 4 years, then pro-rated 5 to 7; lithium 1 year; fabric not covered.
How does it compare?
- The Radiance PLR3955 adds heat.
- The VivaLift Metro PLR925 is a narrower infinite-position chair at 33 in (838 mm).
- The Golden Dione PL446 has four zones in medium and large.
