Description
The Pride VivaLift Ultra PLR-4955 is an infinite-position lift recliner with Weightless Tilt, in Small, Medium and Large, all rated 400 lbs (181.5 kg).
What does it do and how does it work?
The back and footrest move independently, Weightless Tilt raises the front of the seat as the chair reclines, and the lift brings you to standing.
- Power headrest, power lumbar and footrest extension.
- Three heat pads and a three-intensity lumbar air massage are standard.
- Toggle remote with one memory setting and a USB port.
- Cup holder and wireless phone charging station in the arm.
- A lithium-ion pack returns the chair to seated during an outage.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits a sitter who wants independent recline, tilt, heat and massage in a measured size.
- Choose a 3 position chair if the back and footrest need only move together.
Will it fit?
- Small: 20 in (508 mm) seat, 18 in (457 mm) deep, 18 in (457 mm) high, 25 in (635 mm) back, 37 in (940 mm) wide, 15 in (381 mm) wall; 5'4" and below.

- Chair weight: 158 lbs (71.7 kg) on the small and medium, 176 lbs (79.8 kg) on the large.
- Compare the 37 or 39 in overall width with your doorway.
Using it day to day
- Save a position to the memory button.
- Use the heat and massage controls; the massage has three intensities.
- Charge a phone from the USB port or the wireless pad.
- Charge the lithium pack before first use; it runs the chair unplugged up to 48 hours.
- Stand only when steady, and do not load the arms.
What happens in a power outage?
The lithium-ion pack returns the chair to seated once and self-charges while the chair is plugged in.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- Weight limit 400 lbs (181.5 kg) on each size; exceeding it voids the warranty.
- One person at a time; nobody on the lap, arms or footrest.
- Capriccio is standard in Cappuccino, Dove, Slate and Smoke. Sorrento Coffee is optional leather. Trento Brown and Charcoal are polyester.
- Do not use the heat pads more than 20 minutes at a time, while sleeping, with heat-producing creams, or if you have nerve damage or rheumatoid arthritis.
- Warranty: lifetime frame and mechanisms; electrical parts 4 years, then pro-rated 5 to 7; lithium 1 year; fabric not covered. See the warranty terms.
How does it compare?
- The Elegance 2 PLR975 has fewer powered functions.
- The Radiance PLR3955 has three heat pads but no Weightless Tilt.
- The Perfecta 2 PLR945M is a narrower medium chair.
