Description
The Golden Buzzaround EX 4-wheel scooter (model GB148) is a portable take-apart scooter with comfort-spring suspension, a 350 lbs (159 kg) capacity and two U1 battery packs included.
Who is it for?
A rider to 350 lbs who wants suspension and can lift a 53 lb (24 kg) front half, or has help. Ground clearance is 4" (10.2 cm) and the tires are solid 9". For a tighter turn, the three-wheel EX turns in 40.5". If 53 lb is too much, see travel scooters.
How does it drive?
Up to 8 km/h (5 mph). Range is up to 29 km (18 mi) per charge with two U1 packs at a 200 lbs (91 kg) rider load, and it shortens with weight, hills and rough ground.
The turning radius is 54" (137 cm). Comfort-spring suspension sits under the deck, braking is electromechanical, and the LED package includes a headlight, taillight and front running light.
Will it fit your home and car?
It is 44" (112 cm) long and 22" (56 cm) wide, and weighs 161 lb (73 kg) assembled with batteries. It disassembles into six pieces; the front half is the heaviest at 53 lb. It is not crash-tested for riding in a vehicle, so plan on a van, a ramp or a vehicle lift.
Batteries, charging and care
Two U1 packs are included, with an off-board charger. Charge after each day of use and keep the scooter out of rain, snow and salt. We replace worn batteries.
Seat, tiller and controls
The high-back black vinyl seat is 18" wide and 16" deep, swivels, and sits 22.75" to 24.75" from the ground. The wraparound delta tiller adjusts, with a speed dial, battery gauge, horn and throttle.

That figure is Golden's test at 200 lb. Heavier riders, hills and rough ground shorten it.

Velvet Red and Coastal Blue are both standard. Tell us which shroud you want when you order.
Can I ride it on Toronto sidewalks?
Ontario treats scooter riders as pedestrians; municipalities set bylaws, and Toronto allows mobility devices on sidewalks.

Warranty details
Golden Technologies warrants the Buzzaround EX 4-wheel (GB148) to the initial consumer, from the date of purchase from an authorized Golden provider, against defects in materials or workmanship.
- Steel frame, frame welds, tiller frame, front fork and seat post: lifetime limited.
- Transaxle and motor/brake assembly (electrical function): 2 years.
- Controller, dash, wire harnesses, potentiometer and battery charger: 2 years.
- Batteries supplied by Golden: 1 year.
- Bearings, bushings, rubber and plastic parts, seat swivel, armrests and accessories: 1 year.
- Excludes wear items (tires and tubes, motor brushes, brake pads, plastic shrouds, bulbs and fuses, upholstery, armrest pads), misuse, commercial use and exceeding the weight capacity.
- Parts only: labour, service calls and freight are the owner's cost. A warranty registration card must be on file.
