Description
The Go-Go Sport 3-wheel (model 73) is Pride's compact take-apart scooter. The two 18 Ah batteries come with it.
Who it suits, and who should choose something else
- A rider up to 325 lbs (147 kg) who can lift a 35.75 lb (16.2 kg) front section, or who has help.
- Ground clearance is 1.5 in (38 mm) at the motor, 3 in (76 mm) at mid-frame and 0.75 in (19 mm) at the anti-tip wheels. Slopes over 6 degrees, or obstacles over 2 in (50 mm), are outside the rating.
- If that front section is too heavy, see travel scooters.
- If you need a cushion or back support for posture, ask your therapist about a power wheelchair.
Check the pieces
- Five pieces, no tools: seat, battery pack, basket, front section and rear section.
- Without batteries it is 92.75 lbs (42 kg). With batteries it is 122.25 lbs (55.5 kg). The front section is the heaviest piece.
- Length 42 in (107 cm), width 21.25 in (54 cm), overall height 35 to 36 in (89 to 91 cm). Turning radius 36 in (91 cm).
- Seat 17 by 17 in, black vinyl, about 23 lbs; it swivels, the armrests flip up, and seat height is 20.5 to 22 in from the ground. Solid tires are 3 by 8 in front and 3 by 9 in rear. No suspension.
- Top speed up to 7.5 km/h (4.7 mph). The four-wheel Go-Go Sport uses EZ Turn and turns in 41.5 in. See 4-wheel scooters.
Batteries, controls and care
- Two 12 V 18 Ah sealed lead-acid batteries in one lift-out pack, about 14 lbs each. Range is up to 20.5 km (12.75 mi) at the full 325 lb load.
- The 2 amp charger works through the tiller port or on the pack after you lift it out. Charge 8 to 14 hours before first use and after daily use, add 4 hours once the charger shows full, and give it 24 hours weekly and 48 hours monthly. No extension cord.
- The delta tiller has a key, horn, battery gauge, speed dial, thumb throttle, light switch and charger port. It powers down after about 20 minutes idle, and reverse runs slower than forward.
- A freewheel lever at the rear right lets you push it on level ground; return it to drive before riding.
- It is splash resistant (IPX4). Keep the console dry, operate between -25 and 50 C, never charge a frozen battery, and store it charged with the pack out.
- It is not a seat in a moving vehicle. Secure the empty scooter at the four points. Red and blue panels are both included, and only one rear accessory can be fitted at a time. We replace worn batteries.
