Description
The Drive Scout 4 is the four-wheel travel scooter. It has no light, so it is not for riding after dark. The two 12 Ah batteries come with it.
Who it suits, and who should choose something else
- A rider up to 300 lbs (136 kg) who can lift a front section of about 38 to 39 lbs (17 to 18 kg).
- Ground clearance is 2.5 in (64 mm). The climbing angle is 6 degrees. Grass, gravel and steep drives are a poor match.
- There is no headlight, only a battery gauge. Do not ride after dark. The three-wheel version is the Scout 3.
- If you need a cushion or back support for posture, ask your therapist about a power wheelchair.

- Base 58 lbs, battery pair 20 lbs, seat 16 lbs, about 94 lbs together. The manual says the front section is 38 lbs. The sheet says 39 lbs. We confirm before you order.
- Length 42.5 in (108 cm). Width 21.5 in on the pages, 21.25 in in the manual. Turning radius 53.75 in (136 cm).
- Folding stadium seat, 16.5 by 16 in. Solid 8 by 2 in tires. Top speed about 6.8 km/h (4.25 mph). Red and blue panels are both included.
Batteries
- Two 12 V 12 Ah sealed batteries. Range up to 9 miles (14.5 km) on that pack. Drive also lists a 20 Ah pack at up to 15 miles (24 km). We confirm that pack before you order.
- The 2 amp charger is included. Operate between about -8 C and 50 C. We replace worn batteries.
Frequently asked questions
Can I ride it at dusk?
No. The Scout 4 has no headlight. The console light is only a battery gauge.
What do I have to lift?
The front section, 38 lbs in the manual and 39 lbs on the sheet. The seat is 16 lbs and the battery pair is 20 lbs.
Is this the three-wheel Scout?
