Description
The Drive Cobra GT4 is a heavy outdoor four-wheel scooter with a 22 in captain's seat. The two 75 Ah batteries come with it. It does not come apart for a car.
Who it suits, and who should choose something else
- A rider up to 450 lbs (204 kg) who has a garage or a lift, and room for an 82 in (208 cm) turning radius.
- Ground clearance is 5.5 in (140 mm). The climbing angle is 8 degrees. Width is 28.8 in (73 cm), so measure the doorway.
- Assembled it is 340 lbs (154 kg), not counting the hand control. The base is 191 lbs, the battery pair 94 lbs, and the seat 55 lbs. This is not a trunk scooter. See travel scooters if you must lift one into a car.
- If you need a cushion or back support for posture, ask your therapist about a power wheelchair.
How it drives
- Length 63 in (160 cm). Top speed 16 km/h (10 mph). Range 35 km (22 mi).
- Seat 22 by 20 in, swivels, reclines, and sits 27 to 30 in off the floor. A positioning belt is part of that seat.
- Tires are 14 by 4 in pneumatic, at 50 psi. Front and rear shocks. Headlight, turn signals and LED tail lights.
- Brakes are electromagnetic, with a hand brake on the tiller. A freewheel lever releases the brake for pushing. Do not ride in freewheel.
Batteries come with it
- Two 12 V 75 Ah batteries and a 5 amp off-board charger are included. The port is on the tiller.
- We replace worn batteries.
Frequently asked questions
Will it fit in a car?
No. The assembled scooter is 340 lbs and Drive does not list a take-apart frame for this model.
How much space does a turn need?
The turning radius is 82 in (208 cm). Add the length of the scooter when you plan a hallway or a driveway apron.
Are the batteries included?
Yes. Two 75 Ah batteries and the 5 amp charger come with the GT4. The pair weighs 94 lbs.
