Description

The Ki Mobility Rogue XP is a rigid pediatric manual wheelchair with an aluminium frame, built to order for a growing child or young rider.

What does it do and how does it work?

  • Rigid aluminium frame with 1 3/8 in (3.5 cm) tubing; the backrest folds down on a release cable for loading.
  • Indexed rear-seat-height adjustment gives up to 1.5 in (3.8 cm) without disassembly; the Dimple Track guides centre-of-gravity changes.
  • Up to 3 in (7.6 cm) of depth growth is adjusted on the chair with a long sling; Ki's Growth Policy provides free width growth.
  • Camber is 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 degrees, and the caster angle system squares the casters at any seat angle.
  • Transport weight is 11.4 lb (5.2 kg) on a 14 by 14 in frame with no armrests and no wheels.

Who is it for, and who should choose something else?

  • A growing child or young rider up to 200 lb (91 kg) who needs a rigid frame that changes with them.
  • An adult: the Rogue 2. A chair that folds side to side: a folding wheelchair.
  • Over 200 lb (91 kg): this frame is not the chair.

Will it fit?

  • Seat width 10 to 18 in (25 to 46 cm); seat depth 10 to 20 in (25 to 51 cm).
  • Front seat height 13.5 to 20.5 in (34 to 52 cm); rear seat height 11.5 to 20 in (29 to 51 cm).
  • Measure the child seated: hip width, hips to knee, and knee to heel with shoes on. A therapist or our free home assessment sets the order.

Using it day to day

  • Pull the release cable behind the back frame to fold the backrest down; it latches when pushed upright.
  • Set the wheel locks and turn the casters forward before a transfer, and remove or swing away the footrests.
  • The towers do not extend below the camber tube, which helps when loading the chair into a vehicle.

What does it work with, and what are its limits?

  • The rider and anything carried must total no more than 200 lb (91 kg), including in transit.
  • Use it as a vehicle seat only with the transit option. Ki configures the chair so it meets WC-19 and ISO 7176-19.
  • A cushion, armrests, wheels, back and footrests are chosen on the order.
  • Warranty: frame and quick-release axles for the life of the original purchaser; other Ki-made parts 1 year; wear items excluded. See the Warranty tab.

Which version should I choose?

  • Camber: 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8 degrees.
  • Colour: gloss, matte and anodized finishes, with an accent package.
