The Sunrise Medical Quickie 2 (model EIQ2X) is a folding ultralight wheelchair for an adult who self-propels and needs a close fit.
What does it do and how does it work?
- Modular 7000 series aluminum frame; side frames, axle plates and hangers can be changed.
- Rated 300 lb (136 kg), or 350 lb (159 kg) Heavy Duty.
- Centre of gravity moves 1 to 3.5 in (2.5 to 8.9 cm); camber is 0, 2 or 4 degrees.
- Front seat height 13.5 to 22 in (34.3 to 55.9 cm); rear 13 to 22 in (33 to 55.9 cm).
- Rear wheels 20 to 26 in with quick-release axles; casters 3 to 8 in.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- An adult who propels every day and wants seat, axle and camber set for them.
- Fixed axle: the Quickie QX. One-tool adjustment: the Quickie QXi. Mostly pushed: a transport chair.
- Tilt or over 350 lb: tilt-in-space or bariatric wheelchairs.
Will it fit?
- Seat width 12 to 22 in (30.5 to 55.9 cm) in 1 in steps; 21 and 22 in need Heavy Duty, and 23 to 24 in are special builds.
- Seat depth 12 to 20 in (30.5 to 50.8 cm); 21 to 22 in are special builds and depth can be 3 in shorter than the frame.
- Back height 9 to 21 in (22.9 to 53.3 cm); an angle-adjustable back sets 87 to 105 degrees.
- 13.5 and 14 in front heights need the hemi frame.
- Measure hip width, hips to knee, and knee to heel in shoes.
Using it day to day
- Lift the seat sling to fold the frame side to side; rear wheels quick release and footplates flip up.
- At 16 x 16 in it weighs 25.4 lb (11.5 kg), or 13.6 lb (6.2 kg) without wheels and footrests.
- Check tire pressure weekly and book an annual dealer inspection.
- Clean the paint monthly and hand-wash the upholstery.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- Firm, even surfaces only: concrete, asphalt and indoor floors. Not sand, loose soil, rocky ground or the street.
- Anti-tip tubes are recommended; casters of 5 in or more clear obstacles up to 1/2 in.
- Xtender and Topolino wheels limit capacity to 265 lb (120 kg); Z-Finity footrests to 165 lb (75 kg).
- Ride in a vehicle only with the WC19 transit kit, never with stroller handles or Xtender.
- Cushion, positioning belt, anti-tips and side guards are not included. Heavy Duty adds the 350 lb rating, widths 18 to 24 in and a stabilizer bar; one free growth kit comes within five years.

Frequently asked questions
Do elevating legrests work with every wheel lock?
No. Articulating and elevating hangers are not offered with push-to-lock wheel locks.
What back angle can I order?
The angle-adjustable back sets 87 to 105 degrees; the standard back is fixed upright.
Can one arm drive the chair?
Yes, on 20, 22 or 24 in mag wheels, not with Xtender, 12, 23 or 24 in widths or an amputee axle plate.

Warranty details
Sunrise Medical warrants the QUICKIE 2 folding wheelchair against defects in materials and workmanship, for the first consumer purchase through an authorized Sunrise Medical dealer in Canada or the USA. Not transferable.
- Frame and cross brace: lifetime, for as long as the original purchaser owns the chair.
- Sunrise-made parts and components: 1 year from the first consumer purchase.
- Tension-adjustable backrest (Ballistic and 3DX Vented): 12 months; punctures, tears and burns are not covered.
- Labour to repair, remove or install parts is paid by the owner.
- Not covered: tires and tubes, upholstery, pads and push-handle grips, and damage from neglect, accident, misuse, improper repair, unapproved modification or exceeding the weight limit.
