Description
The Ki Mobility CR45 is a manual tilt-in-space wheelchair for an adult who cannot hold upright alone; a caregiver tilts the seat, back and footrests to 45 degrees back. It is on ADP's product list as an Adult Manual Dynamic Tilt Wheelchair (WM0001935).
What does it do, and how does it work?
- Dual Path tilt runs on eight sealed bearings instead of plastic rollers.
- The caregiver uses two hand triggers on the push handles or a right or left foot pedal.
- Aluminum frame; the standard back folds down, and the footrests swing away and lift off.
- Rear wheels 12, 16, 20, 22 or 24 in with poly, pneumatic or airless tires; casters 4 to 8 in.
- Wheel locks push or pull; an attendant foot lock is optional on 12 or 16 in wheels.
- Transit is included on the Canadian base (ISO 7176-19 tested).
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- Adults up to 300 lbs (136 kg) who need tilt through the day.
- No power tilt and no heavy-duty version; for forward tilt or 400 lbs, see the Focus CR.
Will it fit?
- Seat 14 to 22 in (36 to 56 cm) wide and deep in 1 in steps; depth can change within the short, medium or long frame.
- Front seat height 14 to 20.5 in (36 to 52 cm), set by wheel and caster size.
- Backs: stroller 20 or 24 in; fixed 22 or 26; height adjustable 18-25 or 20-27; reclining 22 or 26.
- Transport weight 38 lbs (17.2 kg), 16 by 16 in with stroller posts and 6 in casters, without arms, footrests or rear wheels. Assembled 73 lbs (33 kg), heaviest part 55 lbs (25 kg).
- Measure hip width, hip to knee and knee to heel in shoes, or book a home assessment.
Using it day to day
- Tilt with the triggers or foot pedal; do not leave an occupied chair unlocked.
- In transit, face forward, remove trays and oxygen holders, and do not recline past 30 degrees.
- Transfer to a vehicle seat where possible.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- Tilt is 0 to 45 degrees back only; there is no forward tilt.
- The 300 lb (136 kg) limit includes the rider and carried items.
- Handrims fit 20 to 24 in wheels only; on 12 or 16 in wheels a companion pushes.
- Armrests, anti-tips and the cushion are separate.
- Warranty terms by part are in the Warranty tab.
Which version should I choose?
- Nine frame colours, gloss or matte, including Black, Ruby Red, Deep Sapphire Blue, Tactical Green and Platinum.
- Built to the order form; timing is confirmed with you.
How does it compare?
- The Focus CR tilts from -5 to 50 degrees and takes 400 lbs.
- The Quickie SR45 tilts 45 degrees on a steel frame and takes 265 lbs.
Frequently asked questions

Yes, but only within the short, medium or long frame you ordered.
