Description
The Quantum Q6 Edge 2.0 is an older mid-wheel rehab base built around measured seating and controls. Quantum Canada no longer lists it as current.
Who might consider an Edge 2.0?
- A rider within 300 lb (136 kg) whose available chair can be configured to their assessed seating needs.
- For a new build, compare the current Edge 3 before committing to an older base.
Will it fit?
- The base turns within 20.5 in and is about 24.4 in wide. Measure with the chosen armrests, footrests and controls.
- Quantum offers seats from 10 to 22 in across its systems; power tilt and iLevel restrict the lowest seat-height combinations.
- The bare base weighs 138.6 lb before batteries and seating. It does not fold for a car trunk.
What can it do when configured?
TRU-Balance 3 offers tilt and recline, while specialty controls can replace a standard joystick. Optional iLevel raises the seat up to 12 in and limits elevated speed to 5.6 km/h.
Use iLevel only on level indoor floors or limited flat, hard outdoor surfaces. Gravel, hills and rough ground are outside its raised-use instructions.
What should be checked before ordering?
Quantum formerly rated up to 26 km per charge on standard tires, or 24.25 km with knobby tires. Confirm battery condition, parts and the exact configuration for an available unit before you order.
What else should I compare?
The Stretto is narrower; the Edge HD has more load capacity.
Frequently asked questions
Can iLevel be added to an existing Edge 2.0?
Quantum says it can, but a provider must check the specific base, electronics and seating before quoting the change.
Can the rider stay seated in a vehicle?
Only a chair fitted with the WC19 occupied-transit kit can be considered, with suitable occupant restraints.
Is a new Edge 2.0 still available?
Quantum Canada has removed it from the current base list. Confirm any remaining unit and support before ordering.
