Description
Ki Mobility builds the Little Wave Flip as a paediatric tilt-in-space chair, in folding or rigid form. The tilt runs to 45 degrees, controlled from behind, and the frame folds flat like a stroller.
Who is it for?
- It suits a child who needs pressure relief and postural support through the day, and a caregiver who lifts it into a vehicle.
- Standard Flip seat widths run from 10 to 18 inches. Confirm the selected frame, seating system and completed load limit on your quote. Book a free home assessment and we measure your child for it.
How the tilt works
- The frame tilts up to 45 degrees, by hand tilt or foot tilt, so the caregiver picks the control that suits them. The high pivot folding back keeps the seating on the chair when it folds.
- Growth is built in: at least 2 inches of seat width and 3 inches of seat depth of adjustment.
What it is like to live with
- The folding configuration folds for transport. Transport weight is 21 lb on a 14 by 14 frame with attendant wheel locks fitted and the armrests, rear wheels and footrests removed.
- Rear wheels come in 12, 16, 20, 22 and 24 inch sizes and casters in 5, 6, 7 and 8 inch, so the ride height suits the child.
- Positioning is ordered with the chair: Ki's Axiom for Kids seating, headrests and laterals, a multi-angle or contracture footrest, and a canopy. Occupied vehicle travel requires the specified transit configuration and matching restraint system; follow the chair and seating instructions.
What is specified on the order?
Mobility Specialties is an ADP registered vendor. Talk to your child's occupational therapist or physiotherapist before you order, and see our ADP funding page.
The order identifies the frame, seating, controls and transport equipment. Photographs show equipped examples, with seating and headrests selected separately. We deliver and set up across the Toronto area. See our service area, the tilt wheelchair range and the Easter Seals funding program for kids.
