Description
The Power Plus Super Tilt Plus (STP) is a manual tilt-in-space wheelchair from Power Plus Mobility, for adults whose caregiver changes their seated position.
Who is it for, and who should choose another chair?
- An adult whose seating assessment specifies caregiver-controlled tilt.
- Wants the front seat height to stay fixed: the Power Plus Extreme tilts 0 to 25 degrees.
- Pushes independently, with no need for tilt: a folding wheelchair.
Check the fit
- Seated, measure hip width, hip to knee, and knee to heel in your usual shoes. Your therapist or our free home assessment turns those into the order.
- Widths start at 16" (41 cm), with custom and heavy-duty widths above that. At 12.25" (31 cm) the rider can still reach the rear wheels.
- Overall width is 28" (71 cm) with an 18" seat. About 60 lbs (27 kg); steel locks and heavy-duty parts add weight.
Safe use
- A caregiver operates the tilt release. The ordered tilt range, stop positions and any power-tilt equipment must be confirmed for the completed build.
- Rear anti-tippers stay on, no more than 2" (5 cm) off the ground, and are reset when seat height changes.
- Stairs need at least two attendants. Never use an escalator, and lift the footplates before the person gets off.
- The seat pan is not a cushion, so order a cushion separately. Tie-downs are optional and the chair has no crash-test rating, so ask before anyone rides seated in a vehicle.
Which configuration is pictured?
- Photographs show example frame colours and fitted equipment. Your written order specifies the frame colour, seating and any power tilt or multi-axis headrest.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the Maple Leaf Supertilt?
No. This is the Power Plus Super Tilt Plus, and Maple Leaf Supertilt is a different maker's chair.
Does the back recline in use?
No. It is set at 0 to 15 degrees of recline with T-style arms, and a recline kit is a separate order.
Can the rider push it?
Yes, if you order rear wheels with handrims. A seat as low as 12.25" (31 cm) also lets some riders use their feet.
