Description
Item 20101010 is the Savaria RoWalker 400, also marked RoWalker400. It is a gait trainer for walking practice, not a patient lift. The person has to stand and bear their own weight. Savaria rates the frame at 400 lb (180 kg).
Who can use it
The owner's manual says the person must support their weight while standing, keep their balance with the frame's support, grasp the handles, and understand the instructions. Do not leave the person alone while they are using it.
Keep each walk short. The manual bars a long transfer, and walking practice stays on a level floor.
What the frame does
- Split seat pads swing out and flip up for a short rest during walking practice. They are not a seat for a long move.
- Height adjusts from 46.14 in to 54.29 in (1,172-1,379 mm). The arm supports lock in place.
- A foot pedal spreads the legs so the frame can come close to a wheelchair.
- Front casters have brakes. Rear casters have a direction lock for straighter walking.
Size and weight
Outer length is 38.85 in (987 mm) and outer width is 27.32 in (694 mm). The frame weighs 83 lb (38 kg) without oxygen tank holders. The seat pads measure 18.9 in wide by 10.43 in deep (480 by 265 mm). Casters are 3.15 in (80 mm).
Oxygen holders
Hooks for a portable oxygen system are on the frame. The tank holders are separate items: right side 70200037 and left side 70200060, each with locking handles. They are not in the base order. Tell us the holder you need and we confirm it before you order.
A different device
The Bure Rise and Go is another gait trainer, with its own rating. Walking aids and rollator walkers are simpler frames. A person who cannot bear weight needs a patient lift and a sling, not this trainer.
