Description
Drive LK3JELR is a black pair of swing-away elevating legrests for named Drive chairs, not a universal wheelchair part.
Who it is for
- For a person on a listed Drive chair who needs a leg raised while sitting, and the legrest swung aside for transfers. Height and time are for the doctor or therapist.
- Not for other brands. If the chair is not listed, we confirm the hanger at a free home assessment before you order.
- The Viper Plus GT and the Sentra use different Drive legrests, not this pair.
Will it fit
- One black pair, left and right, for the 16, 18, and 20 inch seats Drive lists. Footplate height adjusts. No angle range is published.
- Cruiser X4: this pair, no serial split. Order it on a new Cruiser X4 rather than adding it later.
- Cruiser III: serials 3J, 4S, 5D. Silver Sport 1: 1Y, 3J, 5D, 4S, 8M. Silver Sport 2: 3J, Y, 5D, 4S, 1L, 5Z, 8M.
- Blue Streak: 4S, 5D, 10H, 21S, not 5N. Silver Sport Recliner is on Drive's web list, but its parts list differs. We confirm before you order.
- Poly-Fly: the legrest page and 2026 catalogue say LK3JELR, but the chair page says STDELR-TF. We confirm the serial before you order.
How it is fitted
- Turn the legrest out, lower it onto the hanger pins, and swing it forward until it locks.
- Raise by lifting the footplate until it locks. Lower by pushing the legrest lever out. Remove with the front release lever, then swing out and lift off.
- Fold both footplates up before folding the chair. Do not stand on the footplates.
- Set length seated, feet on the plates, thighs supported with no pressure at the front of the seat. Keep each footplate at least 2-1/2" (6.4 cm) above the floor.
- A raised legrest holds the foot forward, so the chair needs more room to turn.
Compare
A new Cruiser X4 can come with elevating legrests already fitted. The Poly-Fly is the only transport-style chair on this list, and its part number conflicts, while the Viper Plus GT takes a different Drive pair.
Frequently asked questions
How high do the legrests raise?
Drive publishes no angle. Its Blue Streak photo shows a raised legrest near seat height, and the therapist sets how high.
Where is the serial number?
On a label, usually on the cross frame under the seat. Have the model and serial ready so we can check Drive's list.
Do they lengthen as they rise?
No, this pair lifts and locks without lengthening, so ask us to confirm the hanger if you need that motion.
