Description
The Beka Eve is a battery powered bath and shower lift for a modern care bathtub or a wet room. Its seat runs from a 19.5 in entry height up to 41.9 in, so the carer sets a working height for each wash. Savaria Patient Care supplies this BEKA Hospitec lift in Canada.
Who is an Eve lift for?
The maker rates it for mobility groups 1 to 3, in care centres, nursing homes and hospitals. A carer moves a resident between room, bath and shower; it doubles as a shower chair.
Will it fit your bath?
It is 26.8 in (680 mm) wide and 37.4 in (950 mm) long, and turns in a 43.3 in (110 cm) radius. It needs a modern care bath or a level wet room floor. Send us your measurements and we will check the doorway.
How do you set it up and use it?
Charge the battery about four hours before the first wash, wheel the lift over and let the resident take the seat, then move to the bath and lower them in. The seat rises steplessly from 19.5 to 41.9 in.
How safe is it to use?
The safe working load is 408 lbs (185 kg). Two of the four double castors brake, and opening the door of the control box stops the motor at once. If the hand control fails, buttons on the control unit raise or lower the seat while the battery still has enough charge.
How do you clean it?
The PUR seat pad lifts off for cleaning and can be replaced on its own, over a large hygiene opening. The frame is aluminum and stainless steel and the electrics are rated IPX4. The maker names the castors and the battery as wear parts.
Is there one size?
One size, item 920107000. Item 920108000 adds a built-in digital scale accurate to 200 g. A spare 24 V battery is available.
How do delivery, setup and service work?
We deliver across Toronto and the GTA, wheel the lift into place and show your team how it runs. Our showroom is open to visit.
Bathroom items cannot be returned once used, under our return policy, so please measure the room before you order. The Eve manual and sheet are on our documents page.
What is covered?
The castors and battery are wear parts. The Canadian warranty period is confirmed with the supplier on your quote.
How does it compare?
This is a bath lift: it takes one resident in and out of an existing bath. A Niagara bathing system is a fixed tub for a care bathroom. See the rest under bathing systems.
Frequently asked questions
How much weight does the Eve lift take?
408 lbs (185 kg) safe working load.
Which charger comes with the Eve lift?
The charging set-up for item 920107000 is confirmed on your written quote, so you know whether a wall-mounted charging unit is part of it.
What if the hand control stops working?
Buttons on the control unit raise or lower the seat, provided the battery still has enough charge. Keep the battery charged; the hand control shows its level.
Does the Eve lift need plumbing?
No. It runs on a removable 24 V battery. The charger takes a 100 to 240 V supply, and the manual asks for a qualified electrician to mount a wall charging unit.
