MONA Care and Treatment Table, Electric

The MONA is a height-adjustable care and treatment table for a resident room: a padded top with an electric lift, so washing, dressing, changing a dressing or a simple treatment happens at the carer's working height rather than over a bed.

What does it do and how does it work?

• Padded top: 2000 x 800 mm (78.8 x 31.5 in), with 5 cm (2 in) of foam and rounded padded ends.
• Lift: an electric scissor mechanism; it keeps the top steady when a restless resident shifts.
• Height: 480 to 990 mm (18.9 to 39.0 in), adjusted continuously.
• Load: a safe working load of 205 kg (452 lb).
• Wheels: four, each with a locking castor.

Who is it for, and who should choose something else?

It suits a care home, clinic or family caring for someone at home who cannot be washed or dressed in bed.

• A small room: the 1500 mm long models take less floor space.
• A wider top: the 1000 mm wide model.
• No power at the bedside: the hydraulic models.
• A restless resident: add folding side rails on one or both sides.

Using it day to day

• Wheel the table to the resident, lock the castors, then set the height.
• A locking pin comes with the table so the lift cannot be run without it.
• Lower it for a transfer and raise it for the care task.
• Fold the side rails up for a restless resident; a metal fastener holds each rail so it cannot fold down under pressure.
• The open base lets a floor lift wheel close and the sling pass over the table.

What does it work with, and what are its limits?

• Floor lift: the 138 mm clearance and open base let a lift chassis sit under the table.
• Side rails: 950103400 with padding 950103410; head part 950109000; ABS chassis cover 950103300.
• Padding: coloured padding is offered; we confirm the current colours when you order.
• Weight: 205 kg (452 lb) is the most the table carries, resident and padding together.
