Is it the right battery for your scooter or chair?
Bright Way publishes no device list for the BW-12550, so we cannot name a fit for it. The one document that names this exact part is the Sunrise Medical Canada parts manual for the Fortress 1700.
That scooter's own owner's manual says it must run gel batteries, and this one is not gel, so we do not list the BW-12550 as a fit for the Fortress 1700.

What to check before you order
- Terminal: the maker builds this case with a Z terminal or with an IT-F13 insert terminal. Tell us which one your old battery has, and match the terminal, its position and the cable lengths.
- Chemistry: sealed lead acid, not gel. Never mix the two on one device.
- Quantity: sold each. A device that runs a pair needs two, replaced together.
- Room in the tray: 9.02 x 5.43 x 8.31 in. The maker prints one height only, so ask us to check the clearance over the terminals before you order.
Group 22NF or U-1?
Group 22NF is the bigger of the two cases, at 35.2 lb against a U-1 battery's much lighter build, so the two are not interchangeable in the same tray. Both sizes are on our battery pages if you want to compare them side by side.

One. Every price here is for a single battery, so a device that takes a pair needs two.
Will it fit a Sunrise Fortress 1700?
We do not list it as a fit. Sunrise parts the BW-12550 for that scooter, but the Fortress 1700 owner's manual requires gel batteries, and this one is sealed lead acid.
Do both batteries have to be new at once?
Yes. A new battery beside a tired one drags the pair down, so replace the set together.
