Drive 15301 is a one-piece high-density foam mattress for a 42 in wide bariatric bed deck. It measures 42 x 80 x 6.5 in (107 x 203 x 16.5 cm) and is not powered.
Who is it for?
It suits a person whose care plan calls for a static foam surface on a 42 in deck.
- It is rated to 585 lbs (265 kg); the lower of that and the bed's safe working load applies.
- It has no side rails built into the mattress.
- A nurse, doctor or therapist should choose a powered pressure-care surface when static foam is not enough.
How is it built?
The core is a single solid piece of high-density foam.
- The cover is fluid-resistant polyurethane stretch and wipes clean.
- The foam is one layer and latex free.
- There are no air cells, hoses, pump or controls.
Will it fit?
Match the length to the deck; the 42 in models are 6.5 in high.
- 15301 is 80 in long (203 cm); 15301-84 is 84 in long (213 cm).
- A 42 in lightweight bariatric bed needs a foam mattress at least 5.5 in (14 cm) high. This one is 6.5 in (16.5 cm).
- The wider 15310-84 is 48 x 84 x 6.5 in and rated to 665 lbs (302 kg).
- The 6.5 in (16.5 cm) height sets transfer height and rail gaps. Health Canada advises gaps under 120 mm (4 3/4 in) in zones 1 to 3 and 60 mm (2 3/8 in) in zone 4.
- Check the deck, the bed frame's rating and any rails as one system.
- A used mattress cannot be returned under our return policy.
What about the cover and warranty?
Replacement covers are 15301C for the 80 in size and 15301-84CVR for the 84 in size.
- Wipe the cover with soap and water and follow the care label for anything stronger.
