Description
The Drive Pivot and Tilt Overbed Table 13000 is a rolling overbed table whose mast pivots and locks while the top stays level, for use beside a bed, a lift chair or a wheelchair.
What does it do and how does it work?
- The mast has three locked positions, from lying flat to upright at 90 degrees, so the top reaches over a bed or a chair.
- The tabletop tilts with the mast and stays level at every angle, so a cup or plate does not slide.
- The height knob sets the top from 28 to 37 in (711 to 940 mm).
- Four 2 in (51 mm) casters, two locking, roll it into place.
- The top holds 40 lbs (18 kg).
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- It suits someone who eats, reads or works in bed or in a lift chair and wants the surface brought to them.
- Choose the Drive 13067 for a fixed H base that reaches 45 in (1143 mm).
- Choose the Drive 13069 for a plastic top with a raised edge and two drink areas.
Will it fit over my bed, chair or wheelchair?
- The U base has to clear the bed frame, lift chair or wheelchair, with the casters rolling underneath.
- Measure the gap under the bed or chair and the floor-to-seat height, then compare with the 28 to 37 in (711 to 940 mm) range.
- The pivot brings the top closer than a fixed table, so it also suits a wheelchair pulled up beside a bed.
- It weighs 21 lbs (9.5 kg), so one person can move it.
Using it day to day
- The mast sections lock with knobs and a push button, and only the four casters are fitted.
- A spare part is packed separately for assembly; keep the box until the table is together.
- Lock the two locking casters before anyone leans on the top.
- Fold the mast down to store the table out of the way.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- It is a table, not a lift or a standing aid.
- Keep the load within 40 lbs (18 kg).
- The lifetime limited warranty covers the original purchaser and excludes misuse, negligence, normal wear, and the casters, grips and rubber parts. See the warranty terms.
How does it compare?
- The 13067 is non-tilt, with a walnut laminate top, a 40 lbs (18 kg) capacity and a height range of 28 to 45 in (711 to 1143 mm).
- The 13069 has a plastic top, a 50 lbs (23 kg) capacity and a height range of 29 to 42 in (737 to 1067 mm).
- See other bed tables and lift chair tables for a different base or finish.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need tools to put it together?
The mast locks with knobs and a push button. Only the four casters need fitting, and no tools are needed.
Can it be used from a lift chair?
Yes if the U base clears the chair and the top lands between 28 and 37 in (711 and 940 mm).
Can I fold it out of the way?
Yes. The mast locks flat to the floor, so the table stores against a wall or under a bed.
