The Freedom Aqua FCOM-02 is a battery-powered seated transfer lift with a split seat, so the person is moved seated, never suspended in a sling.
Who is Freedom Aqua for, and who needs another lift?
- Someone who can be positioned on the split seat with carer help.
- A bathroom, shower or toileting transfer where an overhead hoist will not fit.
- A floor pickup or a person who cannot sit on a split seat: a floor lift.
How does a transfer work with it?
- The seat halves open around the person, close under them, and rise to the destination height.
- A detachable wireless remote works the seat; the seatbelt extends 24 to 48 in.
- A central cutout and 6 quart removable pail handle toileting.
- No sling is used; the person stays seated through the move.
Will it fit the bathroom and the bedside?
- Seat height runs 19 to 29 in (48 to 74 cm) on power, and the operating height is 33.5 to 43.25 in.
- The base is 22.5 in wide and 27 in long, with 4 in (10 cm) of clearance underneath.
- The seat is 16.5 by 17 in with a 14 in back; casters are 5 in front and 3 in rear, both locking.
- Measure the doorway, the shower route and the destination height; a home assessment compares them with the unit.
Can it be used in the shower?
- IPX5 covers splashes and shower spray; it is not submersible, so it is not a bath lift.
- Check the floor and the movement route, not only the rating.
- For a bath, see bath lifts.
Battery, charging and care
- A lithium-ion battery charges on the unit, with 200 lifts per charge quoted.
- A padded cushion is not included; the maker sells one separately.
- Wipe the frame and seat after use, and keep the charging port dry.
- We supply and fit replacement batteries: replace battery.
Which version and capacity should I choose?
- One model, FCOM-02, in steel with a white frame.
- We confirm the weight rating on the nameplate before you order.
- The frame weighs 47 lb (21 kg).

How do delivery, setup and service work?
We deliver, set the seat height and remote, and show the person and carers the seat movement. See patient lifts in Toronto or read about service.
What does the warranty cover?
Electronics are covered for 6 months from the purchase date, and welds carry a lifetime warranty. Wheels and the back are wear items and are not covered.
How does it compare?
- Freedom EveryLift: a sling-seat transfer lift from the same maker.
- Sit to sit lifts: the wider seated-transfer range.
