Description
Freedom Transfer FCOM is a split-seat seated transfer lift. The seat opens 90 degrees around a seated person and closes under them, so the transfer runs without an overhead sling. It is not a floor recovery hoist.
Who is it for?
- A person who can sit upright and follow direction during the transfer.
- A caregiver must help the person into the seat and push the occupant.
- It is not compatible with wheelchair or lift-chair transfers.
- It does not replace a sling hoist or a floor lift.
How does the transfer work?
- The two seat halves slide under and close around the person.
- A central cutout takes a 6 qt removable pail for toileting.
- A built-in control and a detachable wireless remote are supplied. The seat cushion is sold separately.
- Front and rear wheel locks hold the frame during the transfer.
Will it fit?
- The powered seat adjusts from 19 to 29 in (48.3 to 73.7 cm).
- The base is 22.5 in (57.2 cm) wide and needs 4 in (10.2 cm) of clearance.
- The lift weighs 47 lb (21.3 kg).
- Measure the start and destination surfaces and the full route, including room for the caregiver.
Power
- A lithium-ion battery charges through a port on the unit and gives about 200 lifts per charge.
- The detachable remote raises and lowers the seat.
Water and capacity
- FCOM is not waterproof. Do not use it in a shower; the Freedom Aqua is a different model.
- Ask us to confirm the capacity on the unit label before you plan a transfer.

No. FCOM is not waterproof. The Freedom Aqua is the separate water-resistant model.

No sling is used. The split seat is part of the lift.
