Description
The Galaxy Lite is Future Mobility's folding performance wheelchair, built to the rider's own measurements. Its rear axle moves to tune how the chair pushes.
Who is it for, and who should choose a different chair?
- A folding chair with an adjustable axle for a rider whose fit and propulsion setup have been assessed. Check the folded chair against your car opening.
- The adjustable axle plate is the point: moving the rear wheel forward or back tunes the push. For occasional use, compare the fit and setup with a standard folding chair. Book a free home assessment and we will say which fits.
Which size fits you?
- Seat widths run from 10 to 24 inches and depths from 12 to 20 inches, so the frame arrives in the rider's size.
- Seat to floor runs from 12 to 19 inches, and the back canes adjust over 28 degrees in 3.5 degree steps.
- Seat width is measured across the widest point, and the chair is about 9 inches wider than its seat. We confirm the size on the order form.
What is it like to live with?
- It folds side to side, and the front rigging lifts off for transport.
- Rear wheels come in 20, 22 or 24 inches on casters from 4 to 8 inches, with urethane tyres and aluminum handrims. Arms are full length and flip back, and both wheels carry locks.
Safe use
- Use it on firm, even surfaces such as concrete, asphalt, indoor floors and carpet. Sand, loose soil and rough terrain can damage the wheels and axles.
- Quick-flip anti-tips are standard, and the wheel locks hold the chair still for a transfer.
- Keep the tyres at the maker's pressure and have the chair serviced if a wheel or axle feels loose.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the seat width?
The frame is built in 10 to 24 inch widths and 12 to 20 inch depths. We measure the rider and build to that size.
Can funding help with this chair?
Funding may help. See who may help pay and talk to your therapist.
How small is it when folded?
It folds side to side and the front rigging lifts off. Folded length follows the seat width and front rigging, so check the folded chair against your vehicle opening.
Lifetime frame, 2 years on parts and 90 days on upholstery; terms are in the Warranty tab.
