Description
The Buzzaround XL 3-wheel (GB121) is Golden's compact take-apart scooter. It comes with the standard 12 Ah pack, in red.
Who it suits, and who should choose something else
- A rider up to 300 lbs (136 kg) who can lift a 32 lb (14.5 kg) front frame. Going over 300 lbs voids the warranty.
- Ground clearance is 3.5 in (8.9 cm) under the deck. Do not drive a step or curb higher than that. The recommended slope is 6 degrees.

- If you need a cushion or back support for posture, ask your therapist about a power wheelchair.
Check the pieces
- Five pieces: front frame 32 lbs, rear drive section 24 lbs (10.9 kg), seat with arms 21 lbs (9.5 kg), battery pack 16 lbs (7.3 kg), basket 2 lbs.
- Assembled with the standard pack it is 93 lbs (42 kg). Length 41 in (104 cm). Width 20 in (51 cm). Turning radius 37.5 in (95 cm). Deck height 5 in (12.7 cm); wheelbase 31.5 in (80 cm).
- The stadium seat is 17 by 14.5 in, black vinyl, with a 14.75 in back and no headrest. It swivels and locks every 45 degrees, and sets at three heights from 21.75 to 23.25 in (55 to 59 cm); the armrests flip up and adjust.
- Solid low-profile tires, 7.5 in front and 8 in rear, with 2 in anti-tip wheels. No suspension; an LED headlight only.
- Top speed up to 6.4 km/h (4 mph), and reverse runs at half the dial setting. A freewheel lever lets you push it.

Batteries and colour
- Two 12 Ah sealed lead-acid batteries in one lift-off pack. Range up to 16 km (10 mi), tested at 200 lbs, not at 300 lbs.
- The charger is included and plugs into the pack, on or off the scooter; the scooter will not drive while it is plugged in. Allow 6 to 8 hours, and 12 hours for the first charge of new batteries.
- If it sits unused for more than a week, charge the pack fully and take it off; check stored batteries monthly.
- A separate 22 Ah XR pack goes up to 29 km and weighs 30 lbs. It ships with the scooter when it is ordered with the unit.
- This scooter is the red GB121-STD. Golden also offers blue shrouds.
- The tiller has a key, speed dial, LED battery gauge, horn, USB port and phone holder, and its angle adjusts by knob. No riding in rain, snow, ice or below freezing. We replace worn batteries.

How far will the standard pack go?
Up to 16 km (10 mi) in Golden's test at 200 lbs. A heavier rider, hills or a worn pack will do less.

Warranty details
Golden Technologies warrants the Buzzaround XL 3-wheel to the initial consumer, from the date of purchase from an authorized Golden provider, against defects in materials or workmanship.
- Steel frame, frame welds, tiller frame, front fork and seat post: lifetime limited.
- Transaxle and motor/brake assembly (electrical function): 2 years.
- Controller, dash, wire harnesses, potentiometer and battery charger: 2 years.
- Batteries supplied by Golden: 1 year.
- Bearings, bushings, rubber and plastic parts, seat swivel, armrests and accessories: 1 year.
- Excludes wear items (tires and tubes, motor brushes, brake pads, plastic shrouds, bulbs and fuses, upholstery, armrest pads), misuse, commercial use and exceeding the weight capacity.
- Parts only: labour, service calls and freight are the owner's cost. A warranty registration card must be on file.
