The Handicare slack tape activator, order code 635526, works the slack tape, the flat tape the lift winds on its drum. It sits in the tape drive, so a wrong or worn activator affects how the lift takes up its tape.
Tape drives differ between Handicare ranges, so the lift model and the drive in it settle the part number.
The tape carries the lift, so a tape drive part is fitted and tested by a trained technician; our service team covers the lifts we supply.

Handicare warrants this slack tape activator, a service part supplied new, against failure from defects in material or workmanship for 1 year from the date of installation or 18 months from the date of manufacture, whichever is shorter.
- Slack tape activator: 1 year from installation or 18 months from manufacture, whichever is shorter.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, damage by natural forces, user neglect or misuse, and deliberate damage.
- Void if the lift is not serviced by Handicare or its authorized service agents as the maker recommends, or if an unauthorized person works on it.
- Handicare's liability is limited to replacing defective parts.
