The upper limit stops the lift travelling any higher, and the roller shaft is part of that stop, so the shaft and the roller on it set where the lift has to stop.
The stop is built differently across the Handicare ranges, so the lift model settles the number.
A limit that is set or fitted wrongly lets the lift travel past its safe height, so the part is fitted and the stop tested by a trained technician.

Warranty details
Handicare warrants this upper limit roller shaft, a service part supplied new, against failure from defects in material or workmanship for 1 year from the date of installation or 18 months from the date of manufacture, whichever is shorter.
- Roller shaft: 1 year from installation or 18 months from manufacture, whichever is shorter.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, damage by natural forces, user neglect or misuse, and deliberate damage.
- Void if the lift is not serviced by Handicare or its authorized service agents as the maker recommends, or if an unauthorized person works on it.
- Handicare's liability is limited to replacing defective parts.
