The Handicare Bure Rise and Go DB, item 56-309L-PU-US, is a powered standing walker that lifts a person from sitting to standing, then supports walking.
What does it do and how does it work?
One hand control raises the frame and widens it.
- A power rise lift pulls on a hip harness to bring the person upright.
- Height adjusts from 37.4 to 53.1 in (95 to 135 cm).
- The base widens from 26 to 41.7 in (66 to 106 cm) to reach around a wheelchair or bed.
- Four 4.9 in (125 mm) castors lock individually with foot brakes.
- Shin supports hold the lower legs at 90 degrees and swing aside for walking.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- For a person in hospital, long-term care or home who can stand and take simple steps with support during gait training.
- Not for someone who cannot bear weight or stand at all; that person needs a floor lift and sling.

Using it day to day
- Fit the harness low around the hips; the rear opens for a toilet visit.

- Lock two castors and fold down the stirrup before standing; the maker recommends two carers.
- A full charge takes about 24 hours.
- Wipe with soap or alcohol based cleaner, never petroleum, and inspect the frame and harness yearly.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- Use Bure Rise and Go harness belts XS to XL; transfer plates and the gait kit are separate.
- Replace the harness and belts every three years.
- A bent harness holder or belt means overload; the frame must be replaced.
