Slings are purchase only. We do not rent slings. Our team helps confirm the correct size and lift attachment.
Description
507782 is the standard polyester Tri-Turner, a padded sling for turning a person onto their side in bed. It is not a lifting sling, and a trained person should assess whether it suits the client.
Which item is this?
- Polyester standard is 507782: 39 in long by 19 in wide (99 cm by 48 cm), mid 10 in (25 cm).
- Polyester large is 507783 and bariatric is 507784.
- Spacer fabric is a different family: 507786, 507787 and 507788, rated 625 lb.
- Disposable Tri-Turner slings are single-patient items sold in cases of 10.
How is it used?
- The sling has a dual triangular shape and padded foam, with four attachment points.
- Push the stitched strap end under the lower back, then attach the sewn-in hook-and-loop strap to the bed frame.
- Hook the lift straps to the carry bar, parallel to the person's back.
- Cross or straighten the legs before turning, and support the person while they turn.
- After turning, lower the sling, remove the bed strap and fasten it back on the sling.
Who is it for?
- A client with a mild ability to join a lateral roll.
- It may not suit an unconscious client with no active trunk control.
- A trained professional should risk-assess the sling, method and fabric.
Can it stay under the person?
- No. Polyester is not suitable to leave under the person.
- Only the spacer-fabric Tri-Turner may be left in place, and only with strong documented clinical reasoning.
- This is the polyester sling.
Care and life
- Wash inside a laundry bag at 176 F (80 C).
- The material is padded polyester with an anti-microbial coating.
- The life expectancy is up to 4 years depending on use and laundering. That is not a warranty.
- Inspect before use and discard the sling on tears or serious defects.
