Description
HPI-200R5 is Harmony's plusher home care foam mattress, 36 x 80 x 6 in (91 x 203 x 15 cm). It has two latex-free foam layers, a firm transfer edge and no pump.
Who is it for?
- Harmony rates it at 325 lbs (147 kg); the lower of that and the bed's own weight limit applies.
- A nurse, doctor or therapist decides if this surface suits their skin. Bedsores is the everyday word for a pressure injury.
- The 275 lb mattress without a transfer edge is HPI-100; the 38 in Hi Low is HPI-HHL. More foam surfaces are on foam mattresses.
How is it built?
- Two layers of latex-free foam, softer than the standard home care mattress.
- A firm transfer edge gives a stable place to sit and push from during transfers.
- The removable Recovery 5 incontinence cover is five-way stretch, antimicrobial and breathable, wicks moisture and has a bottom zip.
- It is made in Canada.
Will it fit?
- The mattress is 36 x 80 x 6 in; the 8199 deck can extend to 84 in, and this mattress stays 80 in long.
- After it is on the bed, recheck the rail gaps. Health Canada advises gaps under 120 mm (4 3/4 in) in zones 1 to 3 and 60 mm (2 3/8 in) in zone 4. See bed rails and homecare beds.

How do you clean the cover?
The cover unzips at the bottom and wipes clean. Ask us for the wash steps before laundering.

No. The 275 lb mattress is HPI-100. HPI-200R5 is the 325 lb model with a transfer edge.
Is the 38 inch Hi Low mattress this code?
No. That size is HPI-HHL. This code is 36 x 80 x 6 in.
Does the transfer edge prevent falls?
Harmony says the firm edge aids stability when getting in and out. It does not claim the edge prevents falls.
Can the cover be removed?
Yes. It unzips along the bottom, and its five-way stretch and moisture wicking help keep the surface dry. Ask us for the wash steps.
