Description
The HealthCraft G125SK knurled Easy Mount grab bar is a screw-in wall handhold in #304 stainless steel, sold in six lengths from 12 to 42 in. HealthCraft Products rates the 12, 18 and 24 in bars at 500 lb (227 kg) and the 32, 36 and 42 in bars at 400 lb (181 kg).
What does it do and how does it work?
- Tube: 1.25 in (32 mm) diameter, standing 1.50 in (38 mm) off the wall on a 3.00 in flange.
- Finish: knurled #304 stainless steel for a wet room, with flange covers that hide the screws.
- Lengths: 12, 18, 24, 32, 36 and 42 in (305, 457, 610, 813, 914 and 1067 mm).
- Fasteners: six #10 by 2 in stainless wood screws into pilot holes.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- For a fixed handhold to sit down or stand up at the toilet, shower or tub.
- It is not for carrying full body weight; talk through that need at a free home assessment.
- For a wall that cannot take screws, see super poles or PT rails.
Will it fit?
- Fasten into a wood stud, or across two studs at an angle, and add wood blocking where there is none.
- Never into metal studs, a wall you cannot see behind, or a fibreglass or acrylic shower that is not stiff enough.
- Easy Mount hollow-wall anchors are sold separately, rated 300 lb (136 kg), and need 3.5 in behind the wall.
- The 36 in bar is stocked but not on the size picker, so ask us before ordering it.
Choose the length
Pick the length that lands the screws in wood. Centre to centre is a half inch shorter, from 11.5 in on the 12 in bar to 41.5 in on the 42 in bar. Bathroom safety items are non-returnable, so measure first.
Using it day to day
- Level the bar, mark and drill pilot holes, drive the six screws and add waterproofing where needed.
- Slide the flange covers on, then check and tighten any screw that loosens.
- Clean with mild soap and a soft cloth; skip scouring pads and corrosive or abrasive cleaners.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- The 500 lb (227 kg) rating covers the 12, 18 and 24 in bars; the 32, 36 and 42 in bars are rated 400 lb (181 kg).
- Neither is a full body weight rating, and the installation has to be sound for either to hold.

How does it compare?

What wall does it need?
A wood stud or added wood blocking. Do not fit it into metal studs or a wall with nothing behind the drywall.
Can I use hollow-wall anchors?
Yes, HealthCraft's Easy Mount anchors are sold separately and rated 300 lb. They need 3.5 in of space behind the wall.
Is it safe when wet?
The knurl gives a wet hand texture, but HealthCraft warns the rail and tub are slippery when wet.

HealthCraft Products warrants the Easy Mount knurled stainless steel grab bars (GB-12-SK to GB-42-SK) against defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser.
- Term: limited lifetime.
- Covers the original purchaser only.
- Excludes damage from misuse, accidents or alteration, and normal wear and tear.
- Excludes damage from corrosive or abrasive cleaning products.
- HealthCraft is not liable for damage from faulty installation or from services performed by others.
