The Hoyer Classic mesh U-sling with head support, item 50025, is a divided-leg sling with head support. It hangs on a Hoyer loop bar for the classic lifts.
What does it do and how does it work?
It cradles the back and supports the head, with a leg section on each side.
- The two leg sections leave the area under the seat open for toileting and hygiene care.
- Head support is built into this sling; the mesh U-sling without it is a different item.
- The mesh is breathable for wet or dry use, and four loop straps hang on the lift bar.
- It is rated 600 lb (272 kg) and tested to EN ISO 10535.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It suits a person who needs head support and a divided-leg sling for a transfer with a classic Hoyer lift.
- For a sling without head support, choose the mesh U-sling in the 50020 range.
- For a padded head-support version, the classic chart lists a different padded row.
- A clinician assesses the person and the sling size before the first use.
Which size?
Small is 50027, red. Medium is 50026, yellow. Large is 50025, green.
- Each size has its own item number; ordering the large does not send the other sizes.
- There is no extra-large size on this mesh row.
- The weight bars beside each size are a guide; the sling's 600 lb rating is the limit.
Which lift does it fit?
The classic chart names a loop spreader bar on four lifts: the HML400, CHLA-2, HPL402 and CHLA-2T.

Care and warranty
Wash the sling at up to 185 F (85 C) and check the fabric and stitching before each use.
- Discard a frayed, torn or bleached sling.
- Joerns warrants the classic sling for 6 months to the original owner; altering the sling voids the warranty. See the Warranty tab.
- Never exceed the 600 lb (272 kg) sling rating or the lift's rating.

Warranty details
Joerns Healthcare warrants the Hoyer Classic mesh U-sling with head support, large 50025, against defects in materials and workmanship, and replaces a sling that proves defective within the warranty period.
- Sling: 6 months from purchase.
- Covers the original purchaser only.
- A replacement is covered only until the original warranty period ends.
- Joerns may ask for the sling to be returned for inspection, at the customer's expense.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, neglect, wilful damage, unsuitable surroundings and care that does not follow the instructions.
- Any alteration, modification or repair voids the warranty.
