Description
Hoyer Full Body Hammock is a polyester loop sling with padded leg sections for passive lifts. It gives a supportive lift without side suspenders and is designed to suit about 95 percent of clients. It comes in small red NA3171, medium yellow NA3172 and large green NA3173.
Safe working load: 500 lb (227 kg) in each size.
Which lifts does it fit?
- It fits Hoyer Advance, Elara, HPL450, HPL500, HPL700, Presence and Stature on a loop spreader bar.
- Use it on passive lifts only. A competent person must assess the sling choice, positioning and transfer first.
- Hoyer slings and lifts are not designed to be interchangeable with another maker's products.
- Do not exceed the sling or lift rating.
How is it fitted?
- From a lying position, roll the person and keep the handles on the outside of the sling.
- Roll half the sling under, tuck it against the back and keep the bottom 2 to 3 inches above the knee joint.
- Roll the person onto the sling and lay them flat and central.
- Connect the shoulder straps and the leg loops to the rear and front hooks, with the same colour loops on each side.
- Raise just enough to tension the straps and check that they stay attached.
- To remove, reverse the steps and peel it away from the skin.
Which size?
- Small is red NA3171, medium is yellow NA3172 and large is green NA3173.
- There is no extra-large size; the bariatric hammock uses other codes, starting at NA1030.
Checks, care and limits
- Check the sling and stitching before each use. Discard a bleached, torn, cut, frayed or broken sling, and never alter one.
- Never leave the person unattended. Do not reposition them by pulling on the loops.
- Machine wash in warm water no hotter than 185 F. No bleach and no dry clean; cool tumble or air dry.
- Service life varies with wash temperature, detergent, use and the person's weight.
- The sling meets BS EN ISO 10535.

Frequently asked questions
Does the hammock include side suspenders?
No. The hammock does not need them, and they are not part of NA3171, NA3172 or NA3173.
Which code is the medium?
NA3172, marked yellow. Small is NA3171 in red and large is NA3173 in green.
Can the loops be mixed left and right?
No. Use the same colour loops on each side when you hook the shoulder straps and leg loops.
As a Hoyer Pro sling, it is warranted for 12 months from purchase to the original owner; see the Warranty tab.

Warranty details
Joerns Healthcare warrants the Hoyer Full Body Hammock sling (NA3171, NA3172, NA3173), a Hoyer Pro sling, against defects in materials and workmanship, and replaces a sling that proves defective within the warranty period.
- Sling: 12 months from purchase.
- Covers the original purchaser only.
- A replacement is covered only until the original warranty period ends.
- Joerns may ask for the sling to be returned for inspection, at the customer's expense.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, neglect, wilful damage, unsuitable surroundings and care that does not follow the instructions.
- Any alteration, modification or repair voids the warranty.
