Description
The polyester Hoyer Long Seat is a hammock-style loop sling for a four-point loop bar. It comes in four sizes and is designed for amputees and for other patients a qualified person has assessed.
Who it is for
- A person who needs hammock-style support from the shoulders down, usually fitted while lying down.
- The bottom of the sling sits just behind the knees and the top at shoulder-blade height.
- The head may need separate support while the person is raised; this sling is not a built-in headrest.
- It is not a commode sling and not a mesh sling.
Which lifts it fits
- It is a loop sling for a loop bar, listed for the Hoyer Advance, Elara, HPL450, HPL500, HPL700, Presence and Stature.
- The safe working load is 500 lb (227 kg), and the lowest-rated part of the assembled system applies.
- Do not pair it with another maker's lift unless that pairing has been approved (patient lifts and risk of fall).
Fitting
- The sling has a shoulder strap, leg loops and hip straps.
- Side suspenders are optional and are not part of these codes; if they are used, keep them away from the face.
- Do not pull on the loops to reposition a person.
Which size
- Small red NA1100, medium yellow NA1103, large green NA1106, extra large blue NA1109.
- Mesh codes are NA1101, NA1104 and NA1107; a commode opening is a different Long Seat.
- An extra-small size has no item number in the current range. Extension straps NA2650 add length and are separate.
Care
- Machine wash in warm water, no hotter than 185 F (85 C). No bleach and no dry cleaning.
- Inspect the sling before each use and discard it if it is torn or worn.

Frequently asked questions
Are the side suspenders in the box?
No. Side suspenders are an optional accessory; NA1100 to NA1109 are the polyester sling only.
Is NA1109 the mesh extra large?
No. NA1109 is the polyester extra large. The mesh chart stops at large, NA1107.
Can it be used for someone who is not an amputee?
Yes, after assessment. It is designed for amputees and is also suitable for other patients.
Is the head supported?
The sling supports the back to the shoulders, but the head may need separate support while the person is raised.
As a Hoyer Pro sling, it is warranted for 12 months from purchase to the original owner; see the Warranty tab.

Warranty
Warranty details
Joerns Healthcare warrants the Hoyer Long Seat polyester sling (NA1100, NA1103, NA1106, NA1109), a Hoyer Pro sling, against defects in materials and workmanship, and replaces a sling that proves defective within the warranty period.
- Sling: 12 months from purchase.
- Covers the original purchaser only.
- A replacement is covered only until the original warranty period ends.
- Joerns may ask for the sling to be returned for inspection, at the customer's expense.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, neglect, wilful damage, unsuitable surroundings and care that does not follow the instructions.
- Any alteration, modification or repair voids the warranty.
