Description
Human Care FloorLine LTC is an ultra-low long-term care bed with a platform that lowers to 3.7 inches (9.5 cm), electric positioning and a one-piece frame that folds for storage.
What does it do and how does it work?
- The platform adjusts from 3.7 to 27.5 inches (9.5 to 70 cm) above the floor.
- Linak electric actuators move the backrest, the kneebreak and the height.
- The five-function handset is included; auto-contour raises the backrest and kneebreak together into the cardiac position.
- Positions include backrest, kneebreak, Trendelenburg, reverse Trendelenburg and cardiac.
- Angles: backrest 70 degrees, thigh 45, knee 110, calf 25, Trendelenburg and reverse 18.
- The welded steel chassis runs on four locking casters: three brake casters and one directional lock caster.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- It suits a long-term care resident or a home care setting where a very low platform matters.
- The person should be at or under 363 lb (165 kg).
- It is not for a room that needs a sleep surface wider than 35.5 inches (90 cm).
Will it fit?
- The sleeping area is 78.7 by 35.5 inches (200 by 90 cm).
- The extension kit 90709 adds 7 inches (17.5 cm), taking the sleeping length to 85.5 inches (217.5 cm).
- Overall length is 84.5 inches (215 cm), or 91.5 inches (232.5 cm) with the extension.
- Two North American models: 90606 in white and 90607 in woodgrain.
- The specified mattress is 78 by 35 by 5 inches (1980 by 900 by 125 mm).
- The one-piece frame folds compactly for storage or transport.
Using it day to day
- Use the handset for the backrest, kneebreak, height and auto-contour positions.
- Lock-out key 75790 turns in a handset button to lock that function.
- Leave the bed in its lowest position except when care is being given.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- Human Care recommends against side rails; if rails are used, fit only Human Care rails: 72794 (1/4 length), 72795 (1/2) and 72797 (3/4), plus the care assist rail 90702.
- Rails and the mattress must be assessed together, because a gap can entrap; the care team decides whether rails are used.
- The safe working load is 440 lb (200 kg), including the mattress and accessories.
- Only a Human Care trained service agent, using Human Care parts, keeps the warranty in force.
How does it compare?
- See long term care beds for other facility frames.
