Description
The Human Care waist belt, article family 25145, is an elastic Velcro belt for extra support around the waist during a lift. It is not a walking sling.
What does it do and how does it work?
It wraps the waist and closes with Velcro, so the sling has a second hold during the lift.
- Elastic. The fastened length is shorter than the belt laid flat.
- The label faces outward. Article 25145-120 shows a 140 F (60 C) wash on its label.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- For someone who needs extra waist support while a sling and a lift do the transfer.
- Not a walking sling. For help to stand or walk a short way, choose a handled support belt.
Will it fit?
The functional length is the belt when it is fastened. The longer figure is the belt laid flat.
- We confirm the article before you order. Child article 25145-60B and adult article 25145-60 are not the same belt.
Using it day to day
- Close the Velcro to the functional length that matches the waist.
- Keep the printed side of the label facing out. Wash at up to 140 F (60 C).
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
It is an added belt. It does not replace the sling or the lift, and those keep their own ratings.
- A Human Care amputee sling can be used with a Human Care waist belt.
- It is also the Velcro belt for multi sling 25105 and for toileting slings 25080, 25085 and 25090.
- No handles. It only cinches the waist.

- Child 25145-40B: fastens at 15.7 in (40 cm), full length 20 in (51 cm).
- Child 25145-50B: fastens at 19.7 in (50 cm), full length 24.8 in (63 cm).
- Child 25145-60B: fastens at 23.6 in (60 cm), full length 29.5 in (75 cm).
- Adult 25145-60: fastens at 17.7 in (45 cm), full length 23.6 in (60 cm).
- Adult 25145-70: fastens at 20.9 in (53 cm), full length 27.5 in (70 cm).
- Adult 25145-80: fastens at 24.8 in (63 cm), full length 31.5 in (80 cm).
- Adult 25145-90: fastens at 28.3 in (72 cm), full length 35.4 in (90 cm).
