Description
Items 537605 through 537650 are the quilted hygiene sling with a chest buckle. It supports the thighs and the mid to low back, and the seat stays open for the toilet.
Which lift does it fit?
- Handicare loop slings fit Handicare carry bars. Use the same colour loop on both sides.
- Short shoulder loops and long leg loops sit the person more upright.
- The person is already sitting when the sling goes on, and needs enough trunk control.
- The sling and the lift must both be rated for the person. Inspect for fraying (patient lifts and risk of fall).
- These loops fit a Handicare carry bar.
Who is it for?
- A seated toilet or hygiene move, from a chair, wheelchair or bed.
- The divided legs go on while the person is seated, and the opening is large.
- A wide chest strap closes with a buckle. There is no head panel.
- Do not leave this sling under the person.
How is it applied?
- Ask the person to lean forward, helping at the shoulders if needed.
- Tuck the sling behind the back with the tag outside, so the bottom edge sits just above the tailbone.
- Slide the rest down between the back and the chair back.
- Bring both chest strap sections around the trunk and fasten the buckle.
- Tuck the leg bands under the thighs, then pass one leg strap through the loop at the base of the other.
- Bring the top around the mid-back and attach the loops to the carry bar by colour.

- Quilted polyester with a mesh belt; it is not spacer.
- Wash in a laundry bag at up to 176 F (80 C), and tumble dry on low.
- Life expectancy is up to 4 years with use and laundering; that is a service life, not a warranty.

Handicare warrants the Hygiene sling with buckle, items 537605 to 537650, supplied new, against failure caused by defects in material or workmanship. This warranty does not limit your statutory rights.
- Sling: 1 year from installation or 18 months from manufacture, whichever is shorter.
- Handicare's liability is limited to replacing defective parts.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, damage by natural forces, neglect or misuse, and deliberate damage.
- Void if anyone not authorized by Handicare works on the equipment.
