The Reliant RPL450-1 is a low-profile electric floor lift whose legs open by hand and whose boom rises on a 24V battery.
What does the low base change?
The base clears 4.5 in (11.4 cm). It is 26.5 in (67.3 cm) wide when closed and 41 in (104 cm) wide when open.
The base itself is 48 in (121.9 cm) long, which is the base length and not the overall length of the whole lift.
A shifter locks the legs open or closed. If they must close to pass under the bed, open them and lock the shifter before you lift.
How do you raise someone?
The pendant has up and down buttons. A red stop on the control box halts the boom, and a clockwise turn releases that stop.
Leave the rear casters unlocked while the boom rises, so the lift can settle instead of tipping.
The hanger bar has three hooks on each side, and the sling colours should match. Use only Invacare full-body, divided-leg, or toileting slings.
How is the battery handled?
The battery is 24V DC, part RCHBL. It comes off the lift and must click onto the wall charger, and a full charge takes about 6 hours.
Who should be in the room?
Two assistants are preferred for every transfer. One assistant is allowed only when a health professional has judged that case.
If the person weighs more than 450 lb (204.5 kg), look at heavy-duty patient lifts instead of this model.

No, it transfers a person between resting surfaces, such as a bed and a chair, and it is not a transport device.

Warranty details
Invacare warrants the Reliant lift to be free from defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. A product proven defective in that time is repaired or replaced, at Invacare's option.

- Covers the original purchaser or user only.
- Labour and shipping charges are not included.
- Excludes negligence, accident, improper use, maintenance or storage, changes or parts not approved by Invacare, normal wear, and use that does not follow the owner's manual.
