Joerns pairs this transport sling with the standing sling in one manual. This is the transport sling only.
Which lifts does it fit?
- The compatible lifts are Elevate and Journey with a loop bar. Ascend is discontinued and is not a current choice.
- It is for active lifts only. Top loops go on the white hooks. Leg loops go on the black knobs, usually the middle loop, and are not crossed.
- Ask before using another brand of lift (patient lifts and risk of fall).
Who it is for
- It will not suit a double amputee, and it is not for a lift from lying flat.
- Support the head the whole time. This is not a head-support sling. Other shapes are under slings.
Which size?
- Small red NA13502N, medium yellow NA13501N, large green NA13503N.
- The stand-aid codes NA13499N, NA13500N and NA13498N are a different sling.
- Active lifts are under sit to stand lifts.
How it is fitted
- From sitting, the top of the opening sits at the base of the spine. The chest strap only holds the sling while it is attached. Arms stay outside.
- Each leg strap goes under the thigh and up between the legs, without a twist.
Washing
- Machine wash in warm water, no hotter than 185 F. No bleach and no dry cleaning.
- Cool tumble dry, air dry, or dry at a very low temperature. Discard a torn sling.

- The Deluxe Stand-Aid sling is the standing sling in the same manual. It is not a general-purpose sling.
- Lifts are listed under patient lifts. Sit-to-stand slings are under sit to stand slings.

Is NA13503N the standing sling?
No. NA13503N is the large transport sling. The large stand-aid code is NA13498N.
Can this sling lift someone off the floor?
No. It is not for a lift from a horizontal position.
Does the sling include a headrest?
No. The caregiver supports the head; no built-in head panel is described.
Is the medium a different fabric?
No. Small, medium and large are all polyester on the chart. The colour marks the size.

Warranty details
Joerns Healthcare warrants the Hoyer Deluxe Transport sling, large NA13503N, a Hoyer Pro sling, against defects in materials and workmanship, and replaces a sling that proves defective within the warranty period.
- Sling: 12 months from purchase.
- Covers the original purchaser only.
- A replacement is covered only until the original warranty period ends.
- Joerns may ask for the sling to be returned for inspection, at the customer's expense.
- Excludes normal wear and tear, neglect, wilful damage, unsuitable surroundings and care that does not follow the instructions.
- Any alteration, modification or repair voids the warranty.
