Description
The NuProdx MC4000 Ped is a rolling shower and commode chair for a child who needs a caregiver; it does not tilt and is not a self-propel wheelchair.
What does it do, and how does it work?
- The chair rolls over a toilet and into a barrier-free shower for bathing, toileting or an indoor transfer.
- Flip-up arms, locking casters and footrests that swing away for a transfer.
- Seat depth adjusts from 10.7 to 17.7 in (27 to 45 cm), so the seat can grow with the child.
- The capacity is 300 lbs (136 kg).
- This model does not tilt; tilt is a different model in the series.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- A child who needs help in the bathroom, with a caregiver present for transfers and while the child is seated.

Using it day to day
- Lock the casters before a transfer and whenever the chair is still.
- Swing the footrests away before the transfer, and never lift the chair with the child in it.
- A caregiver must stay for transfers and while the child is seated, unless a clinician has assessed independent use.
- Wet surfaces are slippery, so keep hold of the chair.
- Use it indoors only: showering, bathing, toileting or an indoor transfer. Outdoor use is prohibited and voids the warranty.

Warranty details
Nuprodx warrants the MultiChair 4000 Series against defects in material and workmanship, from the date the chair is received. Nuprodx repairs or replaces it at its discretion, with no charge for parts and labour, on proof of purchase.
- All parts of the chair, except the seat and back cushions: 2 years, limited.
- Seat and back cushions: 1 year, limited.
- Not covered: normal wear and tear, and custom parts or custom cushions.
- Outdoor use voids the warranty.
