Description
The Pride Pursuit 2 (SC7132) is a heavy four-wheel outdoor scooter with one lithium battery included, and it does not come apart.
Who it suits, and who should choose something else
- A rider up to 400 lbs (181 kg) who wants suspension, 13 in pneumatic tires and a long quoted range, and who has level parking plus a van or a lift.
- It does not disassemble, and the turning radius is 69.3 in (176 cm). Tight indoor routes are a poor match.
- If you also ride indoors, the Victory 10 LX turns in 61 in and is the smaller scooter.
- If you cannot steer with both hands, or you need a cushion or back support for posture, ask your therapist about a power wheelchair.
Check the size
- Length 57.5 in (146 cm), or 53.5 in with the seat off. Width 29.7 in (75 cm), or 25.6 in with the seat off.
- With the standard battery it weighs 244.5 lbs (111 kg). Without the battery, 220.6 lbs (100 kg).
- The seat is 18 in wide as standard, or 16 or 20 in at no extra cost, with 18 to 20 in of depth. It swivels, reclines, slides 6 in and its armrests flip up.
- Ground clearance 3.8 in (96 mm) at the transaxle. Slope up to 10 degrees. Obstacles up to 4 in (100 mm).
- It travels in a van or truck. Nobody sits on it while the vehicle moves: Pride says it does not meet ISO 7176-19. Secure it empty, facing forward, at the marked tie-downs.
- A ramp must be rated for the scooter and rider. See portable ramps.
Lithium battery and water
- One 25.6 V 50 Ah lithium battery (1280 Wh) is included. Range up to 28 km (17.4 mi) at 220 lbs. These are test figures.
- Pride lists this battery as not airline-compliant. Do not plan to fly with the Pursuit 2. See travel scooters for a scooter built to come apart.
- Charge 8 to 14 hours before first use and after each day. Used weekly or less, charge 24 hours weekly and 48 continuous hours monthly. Charge the pack at 0 to 40 C, store it at -5 to 25 C, and disconnect it when the scooter sits; charge it monthly over 30 days.
- The tiller has a 5-LED gauge, a speed dial, a hi-low switch that halves top speed, turn signals, hazards, a USB port and a hydraulic hand brake.
- Reverse is slower than forward. The scooter powers down after 20 minutes idle; keep the anti-tip wheels fitted. Never charge a frozen battery, never hose it down, and dry the tiller if it gets wet. We replace worn batteries.
Frequently asked questions
Is the hydraulic lever the main brake?
No. Releasing the throttle slows it, then a disc park brake holds it. The hydraulic lever adds stopping power.
Does the second battery come with it?
No. The scooter includes one 50 Ah battery. The second battery is optional, and that is the 56 km figure.
Can I fly because the battery comes out?
No. Pride says this 1280 Wh battery is not airline-compliant. The airline would still have to approve any mobility aid.

Warranty
Warranty details
Pride Mobility warrants the Pursuit 2 sold in Canada to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship.
- Structural frame (main frame, fork, seat post, tiller frame): limited lifetime.
- Transaxle, motor brake (electronic function), brake, bearings and bushings: 2 years.
- Controller, charger, harnesses and other electrical parts: 2 years.
- Lithium-ion battery (25.6 V, 50 Ah): 2 years limited.
- Excludes wear items (shrouds, motor brushes, upholstery and seating, brake pads, tires and tubes, fuses and bulbs), abuse, misuse and non-Pride parts.
- Labour, service calls and shipping are not covered unless Pride authorizes them in advance. Service is by an authorized Pride provider.
