Description
Priva waterproof seat protector, item P2122, is a reusable 21 x 22 in (53 x 56 cm) pad that keeps a chair, wheelchair, car seat or scooter seat dry.
What does it do and how does it work?
Lay it on the seat. Fluid goes into an inner soaker, and a waterproof backing stops it reaching the cushion.
- The top is nylon flocked velour, soft enough to leave in place.
- Under that face is 90 percent polyester and 10 percent cotton, then a polyester fill.
- The interlining is 65 percent polyester and 35 percent rayon.
- The barrier is 84 percent PVC and 16 percent polyester, with a non-slip vinyl back.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
It is for someone who needs a washable pad on a seat, not a brief on the body.
- Use it on a wheelchair, armchair, car seat, airplane seat or scooter.
- Choose a sheet protector when the surface is a mattress. Choose cotton underwear when the leak is on the person.
Will it fit?
The pad is 21 x 22 in (53 x 56 cm), about the size of one seat cushion, not a whole sofa.
We confirm the colour before you order.
Using it day to day
It is made to last up to 300 washes. Machine wash lukewarm, no hotter than 40 C (104 F), and dry on normal.
- Do not bleach. Do not use fabric softener. Do not iron.
- Move the same pad from a wheelchair to a car seat.
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
The vinyl back keeps fluid off the cushion under it. The pad is not underwear.
Which version should I choose?
All five are the same 21 x 22 in pad. The choice is colour.
- Almond, P2122/AL. Brown, P2122/BR1. Burgundy, P2122/M1.
- Green, P2122/GR1. Blue, P2122/BL1.
- Grey is another P2122 colour and is not one of these five.
How does it compare?
- Priva ladies cotton underwear is worn and washed, with a liner sewn into the crotch.
- Priva Extra sheet protector is quoted for a mattress. This pad is for a seat.
- More continence supplies are under medical supplies.
A pad that has been sat on or washed cannot come back. See the return policy and name the colour before it ships.
Frequently asked questions
Will one pad cover a sofa?
No. At 21 x 22 in (53 x 56 cm) it covers a single seat cushion, not a full sofa.
Can I order the grey pad here?
No. Grey is sold by Priva as P2122/GY1. This quote is almond, brown, burgundy, green or blue.
Does the blue photo lock the colour?
No. The blue photo shows one colour. Almond, brown, burgundy, green and blue are all the same pad.
Does the pad buckle to the chair?
No. Set it on the seat. The vinyl back is non-slip, and there are no straps in the order.
