The R82 Crocodile is a paediatric walking aid for children who need support to walk, and it is fitted to the child rather than picked off a shelf.
Who is the Crocodile for?
The Crocodile is for a child who can take steps but needs help with balance, stamina or keeping a more upright position, and it is fitted after an assessment by a therapist or clinician.
Which Crocodile size does my child need?
- 0: up to 41.25 in (1050 mm) child height
- 1: up to 45.25 in (1150 mm)
- 2: up to 59 in (1500 mm)
- 3: up to 70.75 in (1800 mm)
- 1 AT: up to 46.75 in (1190 mm)
- 2 AT: up to 60.75 in (1540 mm)
- 3 AT: up to 72.5 in (1840 mm)
The range starts at about 24 in (61 cm) child height. Measure your child's standing height and the height of their hand grip in their usual footwear, then compare both with the handle range for each size.
How is the Crocodile adjusted and folded?
The handles adjust in height and angle without tools, and the top frame height adjusts as well, so the same frame fits a child across a range of heights.
What is standard, and what can be added?
Every Crocodile leaves the factory with anti-reverse wheel stops, which keep the walker from rolling backwards as the child steps forward.
The frame colour is fixed by size: white on size 0, yellow on size 1, orange or metallic black on size 2 and anthracite grey on size 3. The All-Terrain sizes are red on 1 AT, green on 2 AT and anthracite grey on 3 AT.
Crocodile compared with a paediatric rollator or a standard walker
A paediatric rollator and the Crocodile both roll on four wheels, but a rollator has a seat and is pushed in front of the person, while the Crocodile sits behind the child and carries no built-in seat.

Does the Crocodile fold, and will it fit in a car?
Yes, it folds for transport. Do not use it as a seat in a motor vehicle: fold it, lift it in and store it in the luggage compartment.
Can a seat be added to the Crocodile?
There is no built-in seat, but R82 offers a seat sling, a lightweight sling seat and a solid flip-down seat as accessories, fitted at the assessment.

Warranty details
Etac warrants the R82 Crocodile walker against defects in workmanship and materials. The warranty applies in the country of purchase and needs the walker's serial or lot number.
- Workmanship and materials: 2 years.
- Breakage of the metal frame caused by defective welds: 5 years.
- Etac repairs or replaces a defective walker at its decision; the walker is returned to the place of purchase.
- Excludes accidental damage, misuse or neglect, and consumable parts such as tires and upholstery.
- Void if non-original parts or accessories are used, or if servicing and maintenance do not follow the user guide.
