Description
M920375 is a telescopic arm for hooking an unloaded ceiling-lift motor onto a trolley. The arm comes off before the transfer, and it does not carry the motor's weight. Once the motor is on the trolley, the arm stays out of the way.
What it is, and what it is not
- Its only job is to attach an unloaded hook and ceiling lift to the trolley. Do not use it for anything else.
- Do not try to raise the lift with the arm. The lift may fall.
- The fixed-length arm, M920683, is a different code and is not included.
- Ceiling lifts are under ceiling lifts.
Load and track
- The hook carries 200 kg (440 lb) on top of the ceiling lift's own weight.
- Do not exceed that load. The lift's nameplate sets the maximum.
- Use it with a Savaria ceiling track. Another track needs a competent assessment of fit, function and safety first.
- Floor lifts are a different range, under patient lifts.
Size and parts
- The arm shortens to 31 cm (12 1/2 in) and extends to 94 cm (37 in). There is no second size.
- The hook's contact height is 9 cm (3 1/2 in). The hook weighs 0.35 kg (12 oz) and the arm 0.14 kg (5 oz).
- Trolleys M920109 (standard) and M920745 (swivel) are separate parts, as is the 360655 universal trolley.
- Replace the arm after 10 years.
- Trolley and track parts are under ceiling lift accessories.
Checks and care
- Check the track, hardware and trolley wheels every year.
- Wipe the hook and arm with a damp cloth. Do not use phenol or chlorine, and do not machine wash the arm.
Compare
A sling is what carries the person; this arm only reaches the trolley. Sling shapes are under slings. See patient lifts and risk of fall before using another lift.
Frequently asked questions
Can the arm lift the motor up to the track?
No. Hook the motor on while it is unloaded. Raising the lift with the arm can make it fall.
Is M920683 the same reacher?
No. M920683 is the fixed-length arm. This is the telescopic arm, M920375.
Is a trolley part of the order?
No. Trolleys M920109 and M920745 are related parts, not parts of this arm.
How long does the arm last?
It has a 10-year useful life under the manual's checks, then it is replaced.
