Description
The gearmotor is the drive unit that winds the lifting strap in and out, so it works in the load path of every transfer. An emergency brake inside the lift holds the person if the motor or transmission fails, and the brake is checked every year in service.
Fit to be confirmed: send the lift's model and serial number from its label, and we will match the gearmotor to it.
A lift that starts and stops repeatedly under load may be overloaded rather than faulty, so ask us before you order. Only an authorized Savaria dealer may open the casing, and our technicians replace drive units through service.
Funding may help: see who may help pay.
