Description
A high limit is the safety stop at the top of the lift's travel. It cuts the upward movement before the carry bar reaches the end of its run, which protects the strap and the lift body.
The limit works with the lift's other safety features. The maker warns that using the powered emergency lowering bypasses the limit switch function and the slack detector, so anyone using it must take care not to raise the person too far.
The switch is wired inside the lift, so a trained technician fits the assembly and checks the limit before the lift returns to service.
Send us your lift model and serial number and we will confirm the assembly for your lift. The assembly is ordered from spare parts, and a technician fits it on a service call. Funding may help: see who may help pay.
