Description
The Afiscooter S4 Plus, item S4PLUS, is Afikim's single-seat four-wheel outdoor scooter, built for paths, grass and gravel with a swivel seat and pneumatic tires.
What does it do and how does it work?
- A 24-volt, 1,400 W motor drives the rear wheels at up to 15 km/h (9.3 mph); local rules can lower that.
- The orthopedic seat swivels for boarding and slides forward and back. A technician sets its height.
- Pneumatic tires run at 1.7 bar (25 psi) with front and rear shock absorbers: front 4.10/3.50-6, rear 3.50-10.
- A lockable front compartment, two cup holders and an LED headlight are built in.
Who is it for, and who should choose something else?
- It suits a rider who can transfer onto a swivel seat and steer a tiller outdoors.
- Choose a power wheelchair if you need postural support or pressure relief.
- It is not a vehicle seat. Ride in a car seat and secure the empty scooter for travel.
Will it fit?
- Length 65 in (165 cm), width 27 in (68 cm) or 35 in (88 cm) on golf tires, and height 49 in (125 cm) or 65 in (164 cm) with the canopy.
- Turning radius is 90 in (228 cm); ground clearance is 5 in (12.5 cm).
- The seat is 20 in (51 cm) wide; Afikim also builds 22 in (56 cm) and 24 in (61 cm) seats.
- It clears obstacles up to 5 in (12 cm) and climbs 8 degrees at 15 km/h or 11 degrees at 12 km/h.
Using it day to day
- Plug the 8 amp charger into the tiller column. The scooter cannot be driven while it is connected.
- The charger stops itself when full, so overnight charging is safe. Recharge stored batteries every six months.
- It runs from -30 °C to 45 °C in light rain; keep it out of heavy rain and snow.
- It does not fold. For a van, the 44 lb (20 kg) seat lifts off and the tiller folds flat; with batteries it weighs 342 lb (155 kg).
What does it work with, and what are its limits?
- Basket loads are 17.6 lb (8 kg) front and 22 lb (10 kg) rear.
- Use two 12-volt sealed lead-acid or gel batteries rated up to 105 Ah; the charger matches that chemistry.
- Afikim covers the scooter for a minimum of one year; Canadian terms are confirmed with your order.

- The single seat comes in 20 in (51 cm), 22 in (56 cm) and 24 in (61 cm) widths; we confirm the width before you order.

Yes. The charger is automatic and stops at full charge.
How do I push it when the battery is flat?
Pull the freewheel lever to release the brake, then push it on level ground.
Can I carry a passenger?
No. The single seat is for one person and the baskets are for small loads.

GNX Distributions, Afikim's Canadian distributor, covers the Afiscooter S4 with its Proudrider 2-year full warranty against defects.
- 2 years: gearbox, motor, brake, bearings, bushings, rubber parts and plastic parts other than the body.
- 2 years: controller, charger, wiring harnesses and other electrical parts.
- Excludes wear items: plastic shrouds, motor brushes, upholstery and seating, brake pads, tires and tubes, fuses and bulbs.
- Warranty service is done by an authorized Proudrider dealer.
