Description
The M920683 is the fixed-length version of Savaria's arm extension; the standard telescopic arm is M920375 and the magnetic arm is M920565. It is used only to hook a portable ceiling lift onto the trolley of a Savaria ceiling track.
The caregiver uses the arm to place the lift's hook on the trolley, then takes the arm away before the transfer. Afterwards the lift is lowered, the strap is slackened by holding the lift's carry handle, and the arm lifts the hook off the trolley.
Never try to carry the lift's weight on the arm: the lift could fall and injure someone. The person being transferred must never use the arm, and caregivers need training first.
